Kohlberg Capital Corporation (Nasdaq: KCAP)
MURRAY, FRANK & SAILER LLP is investigating securities fraud claims against Kohlberg Capital Corporation ("Kohlberg Capital" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: KCAP) and certain of its officers and directors, on behalf of purchasers of Kohlberg Capital securities between March 16, 2009 and December 24, 2009, inclusive (the "Class Period").
During the Class Period, the Company allegedly misrepresented Kohlberg Capital's financial results and operating conditions. Specifically, the Company reported inflated earnings that violated Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP") by failing to properly account for the fair value of its investment portfolio.
On December 15, 2009, Kohlberg Capital announced that its financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2008 and the first two quarters of 2009 should no longer be relied upon, due to issues regarding valuation of the Company's loan portfolio.
Kohlberg Capital's stock price dropped drastically when the truth was revealed.
If you are a member of the class described above, you may move the Court, not later than March 1, 2010, to serve as Lead Plaintiff for the class. A Lead Plaintiff is a representative chosen by the Court who acts on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. You do not need to be a Lead Plaintiff to be included in the class. If you purchased Kohlberg Capital securities and wish to discuss this litigation, or have any questions concerning this notice or your rights or interests with respect to these matters, please contact us.
